As a frequent traveller, data usage in the roaming environment often tends to surprise, given that unlike voice and SMS transactions one cannot easily associate volume of chatter to usage and costs. Real time updates while roaming on data usage would really help manage bill shocks in this regard. As an end user, I would welcome every such initiative that helps me manage my usage and consequent spends. and corporations seeking to manage costs would be delighted to be able to assign data roaming usage thresholds for every employee on the road :-)
